Dreams of a new village hall for the community of Whittington have taken a significant step towards becoming a reality.
We are delighted to inform you that Wychavon District Council’s Localism and Community funding Advisory Panel and the Executive Board have assessed Whittington Parish Councils application for Community Legacy Grant Funding and have awarded Whittington Parish Council £300,000 towards the new village hall project.
Well done to everyone whose passion and enthusiasm contributed to Whittington’s successful application. This is an exciting opportunity for the parish of Whittington and we would encourage everyone reading this ‘good news story’ to get involved and help make a difference.
This is exactly the time when teamwork counts and the community needs to stick together. It doesn’t matter if you have lived in the community for six months or sixty years – a little help from everyone could make decades of difference for the community, this will after all be a legacy project!
Whittington Parish Council and Whittington Village Hall Committee would like to acknowledge and thank Wychavon District Council and Councillor Rob Adams for their support throughout the bid process.
